GIRLS BASKETBALL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Welcome to the Memorial Mustang Basketball Program! We're excited to see your dedication and passion for the game. Our program is built on a simple, yet profound philosophy: Love, Trust, and Work.

Love: We start with a genuine appreciation for the unique abilities each player brings. We foster a love for the game, for the team, and for the journey of improvement.

Trust: This love cultivates an atmosphere of trust–trust in your teammates, trust in your coaches, and trust in your own potential.

Work: Fueled by that love and trust, we unleash the power of work. We believe in transforming individual talents into a collective force through dedication, effort, and a commitment to excellence.

FAQ

CAN YOU PLAY MULTIPLE SPORTS?

Yes, absolutely. We've had student-athletes successfully participate in basketball alongside other sports such as volleyball, softball, soccer, track, cross country, golf, tennis, lacrosse, and field hockey.

HOW MANY TEAMS DO WE HAVE?

At Memorial, our basketball program is organized into three teams, each with its dedicated coach and practice schedule. The Varsity team, composed of the top  players across all grade levels, represents the pinnacle of our program. Junior Varsity consists of the next best ten to twelve underclassmen, while the remaining players form our Freshman team. Regardless of the team, each player receives focused coaching and training during both the period and after-school sessions.

WHEN DOES EACH TEAM PRACTICE?

Throughout the year, each team conducts daily practices during the period. However, due to regulations, we are unable to hold basketball workouts after school until the commencement of our season on October 22.

HOW MANY GAMES ARE SCHEDULED?

Varsity will participate in 21 games and 3 tournaments, JV will have 21 games and 2 tournaments, while Freshmen will engage in 20 games and 2 tournaments.
